Birch Box Envy .... no more

So after all these years of lemming America Birch Boxes and others, finally Australia has a couple of options similar.  Bellabox and Glossybox both with the monthly subscription of $14.95.  Unable to decide between the two I decided to give both a trial and will decide if one is better value than the other or if neither are worth it.

I also wanted to give this a go as I work full time and attend university and manage a home with husband and 2 kitties, catch up with family and friends, etc so while I love shopping I'm finding  less and less time to actually get out and search for new products to try.  I'm finding that I'm spending more and more time online shopping for products I know and have tested previously.  Enter the trial boxes as a way for me to trial different products that I wouldn't normally go looking for.

So I signed up in February, I missed the Glossybox cut off, but just snuck into the bellabox delivery.  Well last week I got a parcel tracking notice in my email inbox and the very next day I had the package.

So here is Bellabox's February box.  Valentine themed appropriate. Opening the box I was a little underwhelmed by it's contents.  Maybe I've just been spoilt by blog reading UK and USA sample box offerings.  Anyways on with the descriptions;

Sassy 'n' Savy Citrus hand cream:  It's a pretty tiny sample about 1 applications worth.
Possibly has citrus but the one I got is rose and Lavender which means I'll never try this or know as I'm allergic to Lavender.  So I gave this to a friend.

B by Bloom Eyeshadow Duo:  Full sized.  Love the bronze colour.  The blue I was hoping was more a gunmetal grey once applied but sadly not.  Still great colours and size.

Bloom Organic hand and body wash:  Haven't tried this yet.  Nice sized.  Smells different but not offensive.  I'm wondering if the ginseng will mean I type faster....

Sparoma shimmer wrap with Jasmine:  About the size of a chapstick.  A white/pearl shimmer stick.  Again haven't tried this as yet but I think it will be useful for a hint of shimmer on a night out.

Star and rose confetti soap rose: Smells pretty, we don't have a bath so haven't used this.  Might add it to my next pedicure foot tray as I'm not sure when in the future we will have a bath and if the scent would last.

Chocolate hearts from Chocolate box: Two, one silver, one red.  Not a lot to add, it's chocolate and I've had these before.

All in all as I said I wasn't super impressed but not disappointed.  I'll await March's box to make a better decision.  I must admit it is nice to get the package, open it up to see what's inside without knowing.
